Gustavo Dudamel is the 26-year-old Venezuelan conductor who will become the Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2009. Here is a video of him and the Orquesta Juvenil Simón Bolivar [Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra] performing Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances” from West Side Story at the BBC’s Proms 2007 Music Festival.
